At Collective Obsessions, we believe art has the power to do more than create something beautiful — it brings joy, connection, confidence, and wellbeing.

Our NDIS-friendly art classes in Perth offer a welcoming, hands-on environment where participants can explore creativity at their own pace, feel supported, and enjoy meaningful social connection through art.

Why Art Matters

Attending creative classes can have a powerful impact on wellbeing. Art provides a calm, expressive outlet that supports mental health, encourages focus, and creates moments of pride and achievement.

Through our classes, participants often experience:

  • A boost in mood and confidence

  • A sense of accomplishment and purpose

  • Creative expression without pressure or judgement

  • Joy through colour, texture, and making

There’s no “right” way to create here, just your way.

Connection & Community

Our studio is designed to be a safe, inclusive space where people feel comfortable being themselves. Group classes naturally encourage:

  • Social interaction and connection

  • Confidence in shared spaces

  • Gentle communication and collaboration

  • A genuine sense of belonging

Participants can choose to engage socially or work quietly and independently - both are always welcome.

Building Skills Through Creating

Many of our art processes support the development and strengthening of fine motor skills and hand movements, including:

  • Hand–eye coordination

  • Grip strength and control

  • Repetitive movements that support muscle memory

  • Focus and task engagement

These benefits come naturally through creating, without it feeling like therapy or “work”.

Support Worker Friendly

We’re happy to support NDIS participants attending our classes, and support workers are welcome to attend free of charge.

Support workers can:

  • Assist participants during the session

  • Join in creatively if appropriate

  • Provide reassurance and encouragement

Our team is approachable, patient, and always happy to adapt where possible to support individual needs.

Our Approach

All Collective Obsessions classes are:

  • Beginner-friendly

  • Relaxed and welcoming

  • Hands-on and guided

  • Inclusive and judgement-free

We meet people where they are, allowing each participant to engage in a way that feels comfortable for them no matter their skills.
